About me
My work for the past 20 years has exposed my innermost thoughts and pleasures. In the current climate of #metoo, social media bullying, and instant gratification, I find my work is returning to those aspects of life that are often missing or taken for granted. Love, family, community, simpler times, and finally JOY. My approach has a common thread, to impact the viewer.
The use of materials in my work is calculated but the application is left to chance so organic things can happen that I can not control or replicate. I am always looking for avenues of the unexpected. I challenge myself and the viewer to open up without fear of judgment. I use color and movement to provoke human emotions and allow my viewers to feel new things and perhaps remember things they have not felt in years.
